In the Beginning

John Irvine © 2006

In the Beginning
there was just
a single Baby

and it was named

Paradise.

Verily, it was a
joyous Moment
etched deeply

into the
fabric of Space

and Time.

One day the Baby
fell on its head
and from the
jagged crack
in Its soft
infantile skull
oozed thousands
and thousands
of miniature Babies
all screeching
screaming
blaspheming
each one with
an identical
crack...

THE END

John is an Old Aged Pensioner with delusions of immortal failure and a cynical view of life. He has a wife who hates pizza, and a mole under his left arm. He hopes to die painlessly one day without warning.
