This is a speculative fiction e-zine no payment is made for stories.

Now accepting submissions for September

E-zine guidelines:

Accepting stories and poetry of Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror.

Use the contact us email to the left. Please just submit one story at a time. Please just submit one poem at a time.

We will accept submissions in an attachment, please save in rtf. format. Poetry may be submitted in the body of the email or in an attachment.

Reprints okay. If your story is a reprint, please tell us that in the cover letter, and if it's been published using a pen name, tell us that too. If you send a story in with a different name and don't tell us that, we won't accept the story. Simultaneous submissions okay. Multiple subs are not okay.

Single space, with one blank space between paragraphs, do not indent your work. (If you are in doubt about the format, just look at one story from our webzine, this is the format we like.)

Keep your stories clean and no child abuse. There are other markets that will publish stories where the character has to cuss, this is not one of them, please no *f* words, and no sex stories either. You're welcome to write about a pleasant evening playing bingo (as long as it's riveting), but we're not after twisted tales or ones full of profanity, just good, clean fiction.

NOTE: The submission address for the ezine has changed, please use hotmail.

No payment is made for stories or other works, we are a 'For the Love' market. This is an ezine - from time to time we will publish in print - no copies or payment is given for the print issue either at this time.

We Reserve First Worldwide Electronic Rights. Upon publication, all rights will revert back to the author, and we'd like to be mentioned when you reprint your work elsewhere.

Send anthology submissions to author.chris@gmail.com with the name of the anthology in the subject line. (please notice that the submission email is different for the ezine and print books) Save in rtf. format.

No payment is made, nor are contributor copies given for these print books.

I thought now would be a good time to state some editing facts, these are things I do to each manuscript, each book will look the same. I feel that it's important that the inside of the book look just as good as the outside, so here are some things I do to make that happen.

These are things that are not negotiable. I will remove any story where the author doesn't like what I'm doing to it, all they have to do is ask.

-- are turned into - or (most likely) —
. . . are turned into... and the three dots come right after the word, and there is a space before the next word.

All bold and cap words are turned into regular italics (I don't like words in ALL CAPS and then ! - and bold is ugly)

I am removing 'God' from all 'damned'... I can't believe how many people use that word as one, and I don't like it and won't be having it in any more of my books.

Some stories might be returned for you to tone them down, using cuss words is normal, but not every other word... of course those I have and will continue to reject, but use common sense here.

Oh... for the bios, I'm taking out all underlines, bold, and quote marks and turning them into regular italics.

I'm turning all quote marks from " to ' when you are saying like, She is a good 'southern belle'.

All dialogue will be with double quotes, not single and all straight quotes are turned into smart quotes.
