What the Each Searches For
by Felino Soriano

Why in the meantime (for meantime is
leisure, spontaneity, compression of
offspring too, then of selfishness),

are debuts called debuts
an opening of a thing, something,
things. To them, us, importance is the carpet
of protection for the common golden feet.
How are we to become what the parents of
our wants proclaimed

—if we skim across manmade
softness? The dialects, the
interconnecting mazes of ourselves
lose what we intentionally lose ourselves.
The humor found in faces
in the inward of inside proclamations
shelve the unnatural extroverted
beings too caved to covet what
hides outside the meantime definitions.
